you think i’m a tree but i’m not

It was a late-night after a long and tiring day in London, we arrived a week ago for the London Art Biennale and it was one of the most condensed and inspiring times I ever had. When Orly and I got back to the hotel near midnight we were completely worn out..

  • Then I zipped to a channel in which there was a beautiful tree, normally I would continue zipping, but something made me pause on this tree that looked motionless, it was dark outside, we were in a quiet neighborhood in Chelsea near Earl’s Court, no sound from outside, I felt I am falling asleep looking at this motionless majestic tree on the screen, then suddenly there was a movement from within the tree’s trunk, there was a blink in one side of the upper trunk followed by another blink from the other side of the upper trunk, the tree opened his eyes first a narrow slit then wide open, there was a movement in the lower part of the tree’s trunk, the tree opened his mouth and said:

“You think I am a tree but I am not a tree

You think that you will live forever but you will not live forever”

I don’t remember what happened next probably I fell asleep; I don’t remember what channel it was nor to what film or episode this tree belonged.

When I woke up for my last day in London those words were so clear in front of my eyes like written with phosphorous colors on the wall:

“You think I am a tree but I am not a tree

You think that you will live forever but you will not live forever”

So many thoughts were evoked by those words.

How many times I wrongly defined objects or people or places?

How many days did I take my life for granted?

“You think I am a tree but I am not a tree

You think that you will live forever but you will not live forever”

    Have magic in your life
